Spectral editing is not quite ready for prime time yet, it needs another round of interaction design. Specifically, we haven't quite yet found a good way to switch between box select and brush select (or between waveform view and spectrogram view, for that matter!), as well as adjusting the brush to non-linear spectrogram scales.
That said, 3.2 is massive in terms of stuff it brings in. In future releases we want to focus on one thing at a time and release more frequently. So while you won't see it in this release, it'll come soon-ish

Nyquist plug-ins work fine for me with 3.2 alpha.
Does "Generate > Pluck" work for you?

Pluck works as it is saved as .ny file. Every other nyquist plugin which is downloaded as .txt file does not work
For example Pluck works as it's true .ny file, rbell does not work as it is downloaded as .txt file.

Is it possible this is simply a case of Windows hiding the file name extension?
All nyquist .ny files are text files. But they should all have the .ny extension, not the .txt extension. To check the extension of a file on Windows 10 with File Explorer, open File Explorer, select the view tab, then check the box labeled "File name extensions". On Windows 11, it is pretty much the same, but after selecting View, click Show, then File name extensions.

Audacity requires that Nyquist plug-ins have the file extension ".ny".
Unfortunately, some (badly designed) web browser automatically rename Nyquist plug-ins and add ".txt" to the file name. Nyquist plug-ins are plain text format, but must have ".ny" as the file extension.

I clean install new Audacity audacity-win-3.2.0-alpha-20220801+5f6a4cd-x64-msvc2022, put nyquist plugins in in folder and those saved as text file do not work.

Hey, this fixed it! Some plugins were downloaded as .txt files and could not be used.

On top of that, some (badly designed) operating systems hide file name extensions by default (despite it being a known security risk) which compounds the problem.

Bug: Loudness normalization set to default value doesn't resets it to default.
