Just checking - is there a Beta Version of 3.2 that regular people can mess around with?

It's probably not worth trying the alpha version at the moment as there are several unfinished features and bugs that need to be fixed before 3.2.0 is ready. I don't think there's much new that is usable yet.

I think the only difference is that they are built with different compilers. msvc2022 is the latest version from Microsoft, but I don't think it is widely adopted yet.

At what point would feedback / bug reports re. the new features be useful?

Everything is in progress for now, but we expect to have everything stable enough to begin any sort of meaningful testing sometime next month.

Opps , never mind. I understand just how difficult it can be to estimate time of arrival when there are unknown hazards and adventures along the way.

Please update this thread when the picture becomes clearer. It's useful information for the forum elves. In particular, when Audacity 3.2.0 gets close to "release ready", we can let people that want to "beta test" know about it. (and when there's an "official" release candidate, I'll add a global announcement to the forum - or you can LWinterberg if you prefer.)
