Difficulty installing ACX check to windows 10

So, I download ACX check, i copy the file paste it into the plugins folder inside the audacity folder. The I open audacity and look into analyze drop-down menu, click on add new plugins, and I don’t see ACX check in plugins even if i click only new plugins or only disabled plugins. I went back to the files and ACX check is there in the plugin folder. However, its labeled as a text document whereas the other plugin files are labeled as “NY Files” so do i need to convert the ACX file from text doc to NY file? Because if i click on the ACX text doc it opens up word pad with a bunch of code just like any other plugin so I don’t see why its not working. If anyone can help me out with this I would be eternally grateful just like the aliens from toy story. Thank you.

Why did you not use the “Nyquist Plug-in Installer” as described in the manual?
