Hey there, some buddies of mine want to start a podcast, is there a way that 1 person can use audacity to record everyone? Or is does everyone have to have their own recording and then we mix all together?
I’ve tested it with one friend and I am only able to hear my own voice and not his.
You didn’t say the magic words: “Over Skype.”
Yes, that’s not unusual to only get a partial recording.
It can be a little like marching cats, but having each person record their own microphone can produce a terrific quality show. They all post their own microphone track to you and you smack it all together in Audacity. It’s a touch more complicated than that, but most of the shortcomings can be managed.
So are you doing it over a chat or gamer program?
