Audacity Forum

I've been trying to open an audacity file of one of my songs, however when i prompt it to open it tells me "error importing", and says use 'File > Open command to open Audacity projects', even though that's what i was doing and wasn't attempting to import. Any suggestions?

This is an Audacity Project.



You need both parts to open up a song or show.

Importing is generally for sound files such as MP3 or WAV. You Open a Project.

...if it's healthy. Open the AUP file in a text editor and see if it's empty. I expect it to look something like this...
