Seeking help with music removal + sound fx extraction

I am seeking assistance in modifying a Top Gun movie clip. I am attempting to remove the background music from the clip but want to keep vocals and sound FX. Any advice would be helpful, thanks.

Do you have the clip in the 5.1 Dolby Surround or better, the theater surround format? As a fuzzy rule, the vocals are carried in the center channel, so that part should not be a problem. The other two are almost impossible.

If you have the clip in straight stereo, you might be able to use some of the more advanced AI filters and processes, but I still have my doubts about splitting the FX from the music.

How many dollars do you have?

If you have a ratty MP3 copy, you’re dead.

I do not have 5.1 audio file. I had searched for one but couldn’t find it. Any idea where I could get my hands on it?

Most movie DVDs have 5.1 Dolby and stereo tracks on the disk. You may be able to get a copy of the DVD from your local library. Both the Los Angeles City and Los Angeles County libraries have copies available.

Research DVD Ripper Programs.

My older Mac laptop has a built-in “SuperDrive” which will play DVDs.
