Getting the best recordings? What do you use?

Hi all.

So I’ve used audacity for a decade and some as my go to recorder. I’m curious is this going to give me the most accurate to sound source results? Or? Is there something better? I’m currently working on an album that has a lot of analog gear , drum machines synths ect what would be your recommendations?

Thank you.

Audacity is as good as the audio that you feed into it. It works internally in extremely high quality “32-bit float” format to ensure that even the tiniest details are accurately recorded.

I thought as much. It has served me well over the years.

Thank you steve.
