I have been using Audacity for years to record and mix music and i like it so much. I'm a GNU/Linux user and after a bad experience with the config JACK+Ardour+my sound card, Audacity has become half of my DAW (the second one being LMMS for drums and synths programming, mainly).
I released a short instrumental which is used in a free/libre software related video i made for my non-profit, Armaludis. Guitar + bass recording and mixing have been done in Audacity, drums & synths programming in LMMS. The music is entitled Pteraxys Part.1, it is published under Creative Commons BY-SA license.
