extend record time

Hi newby here and was wondering if anyone can help me sort out extending my record times on my Dj set

What’s the problem? A few hours normally isn’t a problem (but Audacity is not a good continuous-surveillance recorder).

WAV files have a 4GB limit which is about 6 hours of uncompressed “CD quality” audio. Audacity can record longer than that but you’d have to export to a different format or export as multiple WAV files.

i tried saving a file name first then recording to it but only lasts 8 minutes or so
