Dear forum members,

Please help me. I just downloaded Audacity and I have no idea what I am doing. I would like to make a mp3 ringtone from this song:

I would like the first tidbit but I do not know how to use Audacity. After she says “There’s umm…” and before she says “Umm…” again and starts the song, Place de la Republique.


Its a wonderful French song and I just want the piano part at the beginning. I hope this is clear and understandable.

To produce an MP3 with Audacity you need to install LAME. See: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#lame
Note that version of Lame is for Audacity 2.3.0, which is available via the main Audacity website: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/
