Thanks for replying quickly.

According to the file header (viewed in a hex editor), it is an MP4 file, not MP3.
The only audio data that I can find in the file is a brief “chirp” that lasts for about half a second.

its mp3 file https://drive.google.com/file/d/1H_mAudZvCIK-JAmJS-iqK7EpJcHNvcLN/view

my audio mp3 file is more then 20 minutes.

you can test to fix audio file by uploading on the above website and it shows result of few seconds.

if you help me i will be thankful to you.

also if you can post tutorial on how to fix these types of files it will be helpful to audacity or voice recorder android app users.

Ahmed.

There’s a command line application called “untrunc” that may be able to recover some data from the file, but as far as I’m aware it is only available for Linux. https://github.com/ponchio/untrunc
Audacity does not have any tools for recovering data from damaged MP4 files (Yes, it is MP4, which is a container format).

A bit more information about the file:

Name : Recording_7 (1).mp3
Format : MPEG-4
Format profile : Base Media / Version 2
Codec ID : mp42 (isom/mp42)
File size : 9.75 MiB
IsTruncated : Yes

mpeg codec format is used for mp3 also.

is there a way you can recover my mp3 file

I’ve made some suggestions for you to try. That’s the best I can do as this is not an Audacity issue.

If anybody can help let me know.
