Workflow on mixing tracks

It feels unnatural to me, to even have a "tracks menu", that isn't in the menu to begin with.

Maybe, I'm just old-fashioned, but from a support perspective having a menu that isn't in the menu seems like a nightmare. And even from a coding perspective, it doesn't make sense to me...

That's also, because this isn't a "per track" prefs. It's rather a "per project" prefs. So, the project file would seem to be the logical place to put it. And the "projects tab" in general prefs to set it's default.

But that would lead to a "project settings" menu, to change the prefs per project.

Is there a Feature Request or a nascent Proposal here? Or even any developments?

There is a proposal (I am not writing it) or Steve just develops it. So probably archive this.

I still expect a way to be retained to Tracks > Mix <some term> the selected tracks ignoring Mute/Solo.

I still expect a way to be retained to mute solo tracks for export.

I can live with Mix and Exports defaulting to what U Hear but I think warnings (that you can turn off) will be required explaining the new behaviour.
