Yes, but I think that one user preset (and thus one extra button) is probably enough.

Don't forget that it could be reset by the user any time they fancied a change - plus we would retain the usual preset buttons: fit project and fit selection plus we would retain the Ctrl+2 shortcut to change to Audacity default zoom (also a good working level). So that makes for "presets" really ;)

OK - this morning I added a user-preset button to my proposal in the Wiki - and I added a vote from MichloIW the initiator of this thread (in the Feature Request page - and in the proposal).

Is MichloIW asking for Zoom Presets or a way to Undo the Fit Project or Fit to Selection? Zoom Presets are not exactly the same thing - before the fit you may have been at any zoom level.
