Eliminate "Export Selection"

If you have something carefully selected,
Export Sound File use the selection. If you don't select anything or select everything,
Export Sound File takes the whole show.
I know it's heresy taking tools out, but seriously. What else could you want?
How many 1900 MB one minute sound files have you exported by accident?
"You know, this is taking an awfully long time.
[email protected]#$%^&"
Better still if you don't catch it and you email the wrong show to somebody. Not that I've ever done that.

Negative votes are not counted, but I can still say "-1"

the reason being that I can just imagine myself thinking that I had safely exported a project when in fact I had only exported the selection. I then close the project without saving, and
[email protected]#$%^&" the whole show (apart from the selection that I exported) is gone and lost forever.

You have a selection.
[_] Export the selection.
[_] Export the whole show.

That's more or less what we have now isn't it, except that these choices are in the main "File" menu.

Also we discussed this before if I remember, so why ask it again? I'll count Koz's vote but it will have a dismissive "devcomment" underneath it per Steve's comment (which is how we handle negative votes).

The difference is this path gives a simpler FILE menu if you intend to export the whole show. Export selection is a special case handled in an additional decision tree—only when needed. Koz

And please add a negative "vote" for me too please Gale, as I agree with Steve

There are no formal negative votes, but I added Koz's vote and a devcomment saying there had been a couple of objections.

I note there was a recent posting from someone who expected Export to follow his selection. What else would you want? Just because you got used to using an odd tool doesn't mean it's desirable or universally expected. Koz

Did he also expect his word processor to only save the selected paragraph? How does Photoshop handle exporting a selection?
