Another problem with removing Export Selection is that you can't export the lot without removing your selection that you may want to keep.

At best I think this idea could be for some kind of trimmed down, "simplified" menu. I agree part of the problem is that existing users will be so used to how it is now that it's not worth the confusion of changing it.
