Transcription Toolbar (Play-at-Speed) does not loop, so yes, that would be a feature request.

What does "buggy stop" mean? If you are reporting a problem, then we need your operating system and version of Audacity and a detailed description. Please have a look at How to post a question on the forum.

"buggy stop" means that Audacity doesn't make cycled play. Thanx.

If you want to loop play speed-changed audio, you can use Effect > Change Speed... or Effect > Sliding Time Scale / Pitch Shift... to change the audio data and waveform.

Or you can try Time Tracks.

I worked out the details of that, and also cut preview play at speed, but it was too late in 2.0.6 to accept my changes. I left a patch in Bugzilla. I could revive this.

Is it the second patch here, Paul http://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=643 ? I am not clear whether the second patch there supersedes the first, or what the "previous changes" you mention in http://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_b ... id=643#c12 are meant to address.

Bug 643 is the one. Take the latest patch. I updated it to svn head not long ago.

Change transport play button image when Shift or Control is down, to indicate looping or cut preview play.

Change the transcription play likewise.

Implement looping play-at-speed and cut preview play-at-speed commands.

Change the appearance of the Record button when Shift is down, to indicate append-record.

Don't like the new button images? They can be changed.
