Mix to New Track

Ctrl+Shift+M
I use this a lot. I wonder how many users know that it exists.

Feature Request:
Add "Mix to New Track (Ctrl+Shift+M)" to the Tracks menu.

The code for this is trivial.

I would say "I didn't know" but I suspect that it is in the manual which I have read back to front (maybe that's the problem I'm reading it backwards).
+1 for adding it to the tracks menu

Yes, it IS in the manual, but these days it is a big manual. Dominic was very keen on the idea of "discoverability", which in this case would be very much aided by making the option visible in the Tracks menu.

Funnily enough, the command is already in the Tracks menu, but for some reason (or perhaps, no reason) it is hidden from users.

Maybe it was enabled in an ancient version and was commented out because some users were confused.
I use it actually much more than the simple Mix and Render. I can't honestly not tell when I've discovered the shortcut, certainly not through the manual.

It probably shows up if you scroll through and read all of the entries in the Keyboard panel of Preferences.

It does indeed show up - but you don't need to scroll - try selecting "Tracks" in the Category drop-down at the top, then you will see Ctll+Shift+M at the bottom of the pane,

But note that this GUI is due to change when we get Leland's spiffy new implementation for 2.0.6

Peter.

@Steve: I think this is a good suggestion - why don't you create a Bugzilla "enhancement" entry for this - rather than let it languish on Wiki>PFR.
