In that case there isn't probably much of a licensing problem if for example you make Audacity a separate download.

One of the developers made a custom "Audacity_Voice" for a closed source audio application some years ago (Audacity launched from that app):

He also did a custom Audacity for a commercial digital stethoscope.

If your case is not too unlike those it's possible (certainly not guaranteed) he might be interested if you and Edgar cannot do a deal.

The GPL allows resale, but what it insists on is that the GPL licence is present and the source code offered.

The GPL doesn't forbid branding with your own company logo, but Audacity Team discourage heavy branding with your own company identity.

Another thing I should have mentioned - although you must credit Audacity in your customised version of it, it must not be called "Audacity".
