Refresh selection during region label adjustment

If I click in an existing region label's text to go into edit mode, it creates a selection. If I leave it in edit mode while I reposition or resize the label, after the adjustment the selection is updated to match.
Would it be better if the selection was updated during the adjustment?
Use case: I'm adjusting region labels to closely match the extent of features visible on a spectrogram. Because they may be several centimetres above the bottom of the spectrogram, I have to line up the extents of the region by eye, then let go of the mouse button and see how well I've done, then readjust if necessary. The attached example is just before letting go of the button.

Wiki Feature Requests has
Moving a label draws original and current edge(s) in waveform without having to select the label
I think if that was generalised more "moving or resizing a label draws original and current edge(s) in waveform" (less the "without having to select the label" ), that would cover your case?

I looked there, didn't see that one. Yes, I'd vote for that one, so long as the edges are drawn and updated during the move, whether it's selected or not.

OK I've made a note to add that vote as you describe (so no need to move it into Pending Feature Requests).
