Hidden voice recorder with hotkeys?

Does someone know an application which can record voice using hotkeys to start/stop recording (outside of the application)?

There was a thread about this... Someone trying to record comments while playing games. I can't find it now...
Include as much details as you can in your post (Audacity version, Operating System, Equipment used, etc).
Please post your question in the appropriate forum (regarding audacity version and operating system).
