The use of markers

Post by KNARPH » Wed Sep 16, 2009 5:02 pm

I really like all the new features on Audacity 1.3.9 but the only thing I really miss is the possibillity to set and use markers on a specific track. Am i blind  or is it just impossible to use markers?

As with Audacity 1.2.x you can add markers using Ctrl+B
The menu item for this is now near the bottom of the "Tracks" menu.
Markers are improved in 1.3.x in that they can now mark both the start and end of a selection rather than only the start.

Unless you have a very recent version of Audacity you may find one or two bugs with markers / label tracks (they've now been fixed).

As Steve says - additionally you can add markers to the current playing position as Audacity plays (or records) by typing CTRL+M

Neither of you may have addressed the question.

<<<possibillity to set and use markers on a specific track.>>>

The way I read it is the ability to add markers to only one track out of several stacked tracks.

I saw that, but...

How do you "miss" something that was never there?
