Unable to connect DJM 900 NXS to Audacity or Mac

Post by djmanna » Fri Apr 27, 2018 5:36 am

I am currently running Mac Sierra OS 10.12.6 and I am unable to view my DJM 900 NXS in Audacity v2.2. Before I upgraded my Mac I was able to record in Audacity from my DJM 900 NXS w/ CDJ 2000 NXS. However, now I am not able to see my mixer in the "Sounds" from Mac Settings or connect to Audacity. Could this be a firewall issue? I believe I have downloaded the latest drivers. Please let me know if you have a resolution. Thank you

It seems to be a compatibility problem between High Sierra and the DJM-900NXS which neither Apple or Pioneer want to take responsibility for. There's a thread about it here:

The best workaround that I see from that thread is to get an inexpensive USB sound card that can record stereo line-level (such as a Behringer UCA-202 for around $30), then record the mixer via the USB sound card.
