Hi I'm having a strange problem,
Just downloaded the latest version of Audacity and I'm trying to edit audio files and I want to "Spit Stereo Track" to make tracks "Left" And "Right" I used to be able to do this in previous versions of audacity by clicking the tab on the left (Under the "Mute And "Solo" Part but I'm unable to change what I need.
Any help please?

Click on the name of the track, to the right of the [X]
(the default track name is "Audio Track")

Right I've worked out the problem
On the audio track on the left hand side where the "-" and "+" are bellow that is "L" and "R" they simply needed sliding across where appropriate!
See screen shot attachment.

Re: Split Stereo Track To Left And Right Tracks Audacity 2.2
To my most recent reponse to my thread due to mod approval I don't think its the right method is doing the left and right channels.
I used to "Split Stereo Track" and on the tabs above mute and solo there was a "Left" and "Right" option which is not there any further help please>

Re: Split Stereo Track To Left And Right Tracks Audacity 2.2
Audacity no longer makes a special case for Left / Right channel tracks. A "Left channel track" is nothing more and nothing less than a mono track that is panned all the way to the left.
If you select a Stereo track, then from the track drop-down menu select "Split Stereo Track", it will split the stereo track into two mono tracks. The one that corresponds to the left channel of the stereo track, will be panned all the way to the left, and the other one (the right channel) will be panned all the way to the right.
