2.2.0 odd problem
Just downloaded, noticed that when I reduce volume at top of page, the light bar above pegs and stays there. Comments?

Re: 2.2.0 odd problem
Per request, am adding screenshots. (1) shows the volume at upper left at full, and the light bar across the top tracking normally. (2) shows the volume cranked down to about 1/3, and the light bar pegged to the right.

Re: 2.2.0 odd problem
Have noticed that after installation, the computer volume control goes to 100 percent, even through attempts are made to reduce it. Have removed 2.2.0 and this problem has disappeared.
Re: 2.2.0 odd problem
Cannot envision a fix for the problem above, and note that 2.1.3 is not longer available for download. The older program is the one I use in my studio, thank goodness that I did not download to that computer, or I would be out of luck. Have used Audacity for about three years, strictly as a hobby, and have been very happy with it.

Re: 2.2.0 odd problem
I don't know what would cause the blue waves and the sound meter to not match. That is very odd.
You can install more than one version of Audacity. As far as I know you can install Audacity into an APP folder instead of just the APP location—and you can have more than one. I don't know how that works in Windows.

Re: 2.2.0 odd problem
I keep the older installers in an archive folder.2.1.3 is not longer available for download.
You typically can get older Audacity versions, but 2.1.3 may not be posted yet.

This is not a general problem - as Kos commented, it is very peculiar and right now I don't see how it is happening.mbarron wrote:Cannot envision a fix for the problem above, and note that 2.1.3 is not longer available for download. Does it happen if you select MME as the "host" in the device toolbar?
Does it happen if there is only one audio track in the project?
Given our own testing, plus feedback from the first 100,000 downloads, the problem is probably won't happen on your other machine.mbarron wrote:thank goodness that I did not download to that computer
How did you get Audacity 2.1.3 back onto the machine that showed this problem?
I'm making enquiries about that. It should be available soon.kozikowski wrote:You typically can get older Audacity versions, but 2.1.3 may not be posted yet.

Re: 2.2.0 odd problem
Thanks to you for your responses. On this machine, I have been unable to find 2.1.3 to download, and it was removed when I downloaded 2.2.0. This machine is a year old HP laptop. Do not intend to download to the studio machine until fix is found re this.
