Finally, two digits on sliders

Post by Light and Sound » Fri Oct 03, 2014 6:55 am

Finally, Audacity has two digits after the decimal point for the record and playback level sliders.

This was such a minor point, and the lack of two digits wasn't a big problem, but it was the only improvement that really wanted in Audacity. Thanks to whoever changed it.

I love Audacity. I've converted over 300 hours of cassette tapes to MP3. Clicks, pops, occasional clipping, and flipping the cassette over, all are edited out.

Thank you, Team Audacity.

You get a lot more than 2 decimal places if you double-click on the sliders to pop up the dialog box (and that's ben the case for a long while).

And IIRC the two decimal places came in a while back with 2.0.4 (we're now two releases on from that with 2.0.6)

Hmm, seems I'm a little behind the times. I haven't done much recording with Audacity lately.

I'd forgotten about the double-click trick. Thanks for the reminder.
