how to record using numark mixtrack pro2

Post by kgillette49 » Sun May 25, 2014 4:20 pm

Will anybody no how to set up or what's needed to set up Audacity using Numark's Mix track pro2? I'm using Window's 8 & on my mixer is just 1 set of RCA's ( output)
I was thinking that I could use 2 RCA "Y" cables so I could still be hooked up to my P.A. System & run the cable to the laptop.....
Thank's K.G.

There's just the smallest chance that wall power problems might cause hum in your mixes, but you should try it.

What's probably not going to work is connecting the mixer to your laptop. Almost no laptops now have a Stereo Line-In. You can't use Mic-In.

I use a Behringer UCA202 as an interface. It's a stereo bidirectional USB digital interface and it has the advantage that it's one of the hardware devices that we certified for "perfect overdubbing."
