Suggestion for effects column

Post by lodaxstax » Sat Apr 19, 2014 3:10 pm

I installed additional plug-ins list which makes the list extensive. When you are down browsing, its not a problem but if you have to go up the list and click on UP arrow, many times it keeps minimizing or maximizing the window cause its next to top window bar.

I would suggest there be a scroll feature or a search function in effects column so that desired plug-in can be accessed directly instead of every time going up and down.

Thanks

The obvious solution would be a tree structure for the effects, but that's not good either if you need to access the same effects multiple times like you do in Audacity. Solutions under consideration are Hot Keys for selected effects or the ability to make a separate custom effects list. Koz

A note: Audacity can slow down or become erratic if you dump in thousands of effects. Are you actually going to use all those or are you supermarket shopping?

You can directly edit the effects list by opening the plugins folder. That process can change depending on your computer type.
