Third Party - MP3 Direct - Amplify/ Gain Control

Post by Bobcat22 » Sat Mar 01, 2014 1:31 am

The gain or amplify function in Mp3Direct is not at all as refined as found in Audacity. Audacity computes the most optimum level for gain without clipping and you need to only click on the function. On the other hand, with MP3Direct you are guessing where to raise the gain.

Why is gain or amplify so important? Battery operated devices which need the volume to be raised consumes more power thus shorter battery life. Optimizing a audio levels makes better use of the device battery life.
