When I listen to a recording in Audacity, it appears that a portion of the recording is recorded on top of an existing recording. I can hear both recordings and I am trying to separate them. Any thoughts or assistance will be appreciated.
It appears that only one track shows on the system with I listen to it.

You will need to tell us in more detail what you are doing (or trying to do) and what equipment you are using (including operating system and Audacity version).
