Which is best? Mac or PC version?

I am getting ready to download Audacity for an online audio class I'm taking. I have a MacBook Pro with Parallels installed so I can do either PC or Mac version. On other programs I have found that the Mac version often does not have all the controls that the PC version does. Is that true for Audacity, or is it the same for both versions?

Since Audacity is very time critical, I would not install software that had to do through an adaptation layer. Besides, given the outrageous cost, you can install both.

The only shifting you may have to do is with the Mac insisting on the extra Command key and slight differences in filename structure. Have you found that your Mac will accept a multi-button mouse?

It's the same program in all three platforms. What you have to do around Audacity may change significantly. Audacity can only act on whatever the computer gives it, and it has to play to you with the computer's interface.

Audacity has pretty much the same abilities on all supported platforms.
On a Mac I would recommend using the Mac OS X version. To avoid the possibility of conflicting file paths I'd recommend installing only the Mac version (available here: http://audacityteam.org/download/mac)
