Change WAV bitrate using Chain

I want to create a Chain, so that I can automatically change the bitrate of some MP3 files and export them as WAV. The way I do it right now is I load the MP3, change the bitrate for the project using the box on the lower left side of the Audacity widow, and then export to WAV. Is there a way to automate this? (I can find the "export" part, but not the "change bitrate" part).

You mean "sample rate", not bit rate.
Chains don't have a sample rate option for the export - it's a feature request so I'll add your vote.
The only way to partially automate what you are doing now is to File > Import > Audio..., multiple select the MP3's you want to import, change the project rate as you describe, then File > Export Multiple.
Note that converting the files to WAV does not improve them, but does not make them any worse as long as you don't use a lower sample rate than the MP3's already have.

Thanks! I will try it as you suggested. The idea here is not to "improve" files though; they have to have a certain sample rate to be accepted by a third-party software.
