A little review (April 25th, 2013)
1) The things I really love:
- very handy to split/move/arrange elements from wav file (especially useful when mixing vocals/turntable cuts/effects);
- spectral view + sound repear = perfect & easy way to kick out clicks and pops in the sound;
- amazing option to record a new track with overdub (playing other tracks while recording);
- wide ranges of amazing effects/sound processes/plugins;
2) Thing that I don't like:
- When saving a project, Audacity copies the used elements (from the original wav files) in the project folder. Changing some of the original wav files doesn't effect the project after that;
- Saved project (in .aup format) remembers the folder path and when the entire project is zipped it won't work on a different machine/folder until the new path is set manually in the .aup file (open/edit as xml);
- In the edit menu there is no mix/crossfade/replace option;
- Silence in the beginning of tracks is ignored/skipped while exporting;
3) Things that make me mad:
- Mouse control (it's more than ridiculous and absolutely different than most of the WAV editors) - a configuration option is must.
