Database

I'm new to using Audacity, and pretty much a computer dunce, so this question may sound really simple. After I finish bringing a song into Audacity (using "Save Project As") I use ("Export") to save it to a flash drive. At that point there is a nice database screen to fill out which includes a lot of useful information. When I go to choose a song from the flash drive I can pretty much only see the song title. I'd really like to also see the artist name and date. Is anyone aware of a way to index the information the way I need it??
Thanks,
AJ

Whatever you use for a music player or manager has to be able to read and understand the metadata within the music file to do that. That's what you created with that database. If you're picking the song from a bunch of files on a thumb drive, then only the computer filename will be visible.

I think both iTunes and Windows Media can do that, but the music has to become part of the player, not outlying files.
