Focusing on tracks after alt+tab / effects window popping?

Hello dear devs. Been using Audacity for a long time, almost seven years. Love the software, appreciate your work. :)

Got too used to autofocus on tracks, and now it's gone, perhaps this feature was lost in Dark Audacity merging process..

Expected behaviour is:
1. I alt+tab / pop effect window.
2. Autofocus gets track selected.
3. I could use keyboard arrows / pop another effect window right after (I bound them on hotkeys 1,2,3,etc).

Current behaviour is:
1. I alt+tab / pop effect window.
2. Autofocus gets some pane selected.
3. By using hotkeys (1,2,3) to launch other effects I override project's sampling frequency, because the only pane I still got enabled is 'selection pane'.
4. Revert it back, click into tracks subwindow... and press the hotkey again.

This is frustrating. :( Could you fix it?

Version is 2.2.1 in debian testing.

Not sure what you mean. Do you mean "i + Alt + Tab", or that: You press "Alt+Tab" ?
Either way, that's not a standard Audacity shortcut. "Alt + Tab" is generally reserved by the OS window manager for switching between windows.

OK, I see what you mean.
Which version did you have where this was not a problem?

I've compiled 2.1.3 on Debian Testing with *-dev packages. Couldn't get audio interface to work, but I got no pane autofocus issues on 2.1.3.
Then I compiled 2.2.0, and pane autofocus issue was there. So looks like it was introduced in 2.2.0.

I also tested previous builds on windows 7. 2.1.2, 2.1.3, 2.2.0, 2.2.1 did fine. Track was the only thing it had focused. :?
