Odd problem is Audacity I open on the Primary Screen, and I move the window to my Secondary Screen. 2 thin lines, appear left behind where the program was first opened.
I move the window and the lines stay on the desktop.
They seem to be part of the record level meter and follow it as I record.
The other smaller line seems static. Attached a region capture to show it.
Using Linux MX-17 XFCE with Nvidia driver installed.
Audacity 2.1.2
It seems to not have any ill effects but just annoying.

Re: 2 thin lines show on Main Desktop
I don't see that myself, but it could be a detached toolbar that has somehow become separated from the main application window.
Try resetting the toolbars (View menu > Toolbars > Reset Toolbars).
