Have two mics plugged into the Scarlett 2i2, just down loaded audacity hit the record button and notheing
Help Brand New. I hit record nothing happens

Which Linux distribution are you using?
Also, it is highly recommended to not use an email address as a user name even if it's not your real email address. Better to register with your real email address so that you can receive notifications about replies, and use a name that does not disclose personal information.
