Minimising & maximising Audacity
When I set Audacity to record and then minimise it to do something else, I found thhat when I maximise Audacity the frame appears but none of the controls or buttons appear. Has anyone else experienced this? It means I cannot save recordings or anything. I am using Linux Kubuntu 16.04 LTS and upgraded the latest Audacity
Re: Minimising & maximising Audacity
Testing with Audacity 2.1.2 and 2.2.1 on Ubuntu 16.04 XFCE, I don't see the problem that you describe.
Running Audacity in the background while doing something else, is usually not a good idea. You've not said exactly what you are trying to do, but I expect there is a better way.

Re: Minimising & maximising Audacity
Hi Steve,
Thanks for replying. What I am doing is recording a radio broadcast to listen later. As the recording is underway, i'll either surf other websites or write emails. So to surf other websites or write emails, I minimise Audacity. Is this detrimental to Audacity? If I do the same on my Windows 7 PC with Audacity, there is problem.
