Run audacity from console to work on multiple files on serve

Post by arizona » Wed Jan 04, 2017 8:13 pm

Hi all,

I am using Ubuntu Server 14.04

I want to do the following:
* I have audio files in folder A
* I want to run a program (audacity) from console on the server, which takes audio files from folder A and applies a defined set of filters (compression, normalization, echo, bass effect)
* Then save the files to folder B

Is there any possibility to do this with audacity, or any other software?

Awaiting your suggestions!
:)

Thanks!
:)

Audacity is very GUI orientated. For command line use, have a look at SoX http://sox.sourceforge.net/
