When I try to rename a track (Audio track -> Name) the dialogue box pops up, but I can't type anything into it because the keyboard shortcuts interfere. For example, if I hit backspace to erase the text it erases the audio instead, if I hit the letter E it brings up the equalizer instead of typing the letter E. Is there anyway to prevent this from happening without having to change my keyboard shortcuts?
I'm using Audacity 2.0.6 on Ubuntu 15.04

Re: Shortcuts interfereing with naming track
You need a more recent version of Audacity that has been built using the correct version of WxWidgets.
If you don't want to build Audacity yourself, you could try Audacity 2.1.2 from the Ubuntu Handbook PPA
