When I record audio that is played by my computer thanks to pulseaudio volume control as indicaed in the wiki, there's a pitch of about 1,7 halftone lower. I corrected this at my ear, but I would like to understand how to evitate such deformation?

Try changing the Audacity project rate to 44100 Hz or 48000 Hz.

Try giving us some information to go on.

Version of Audacity?

Version of Linux?

Make and model number of computer?

Make and model number of sound device?

Exactly what you are recording, in what application?

Helo Gale Andrews, thank you for your reply that was effectively the problem of the rate, which was 48000 instead of 44100
