The two ones work fine are [default & sysdefault] , but suddenly they disappear and the other three are left and I can’t find default and sysdefault in the choices anymore!

There should be a “Pulse” (PulseAudio) option.
(Please note that the Audacity team does not make the Snap package.)

What do you mean? what do you recommend?

The snap package is built by another group. The only format that Audacity provides (apart from source code) is the appimage (note this is an executable not an installer).

I haven’t tried the snap version myself but I’ve read that people have had issues with it. It would be a good idea to uninstall it and try the appimage.

The AppImage is available from the Audacity website: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/

So far no problems … thank you!

Thank you, Steve … it’s good so far!
