Wave Color

If you click on a track, it gives an option "Wave Color > Instrument 1 " etc. What does this do.
I was rather hoping I could might be able to colour the tracks in my project.

Thanks
(Ubuntu 18.04. Install from Ubuntu repository)

That is really helpful.....

But something I have noticed - the colour doesn't apply to tracks that are muted. I was trying it on such a track!
