Linux Mint 19, was audacity 2.4.1 after upgrading from PPA. I'm stuffed with 2.4.1 and don't know what I'm doing wrong.
It doesn't matter what kind of audio file I import, I cannot get in to the track structure to allow editing of the track. Instead, the cursor moves into the time-line above the track. I've tried all kinds of ways to get the cursor into the audio track to amplify, cut, paste, silence, do anything at all but to no avail.
I've gone back to version 2.2.1 and all is well.
Any ideas?

Re: 2.4.1 Track editing not available
We've received numerous reports of problems with the ubuntuhandbook1 PPA build of Audacity 2.4.1. Something is wrong with their packaging. Hopefully they will fix it soon as there's clearly a lot of people wanting to use that PPA.
