I have been unable to configure or use the line output from the computer as input to Audacity. Microphone does work.
host=ALSA Using = PortAudio v19.5.0-devel. Any suggestions?
Running 18.04 Ubuntu at latest patch level.

I found the problem. The pavucontrol recording tab asla plug-in was MUTED!
