Hello,
I'm looking for a microphone to record my piano.
Is the Audio-Technica AT2020USB+ compatible with both Ubuntu and Audacity?
I'm not sure because in the specs, it's written that the microphone is only compatible with Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2000 and Mac OS X.
In both case, which microphone manufacturers are linux-friendly?
I use Audacity 2.3.3 and ubuntu 20.04 with the linux kernel 5.4.0-21-generic with an intel x86_64 (amd64) cpu.

Re: Is the Audio-Technica AT2020USB+ compatible?
I'm a Windows guy, but virtually all of these "simple USB audio devices" are class compliant so they work with the Microsoft-supplied or Apple-supplied drivers.
And, I'm pretty sure the generic Linux drivers are designed to work with class compliant devices.
...If you had a multi-channel audio interface it might come with custom drivers and/or utilities for Windows and OSX.

Re: Is the Audio-Technica AT2020USB+ compatible?
We hear from plenty of Audacity users that successfully use the AT2020USB with Audacity.
I'm on Linux but I don't have an AT2020USB, but a 1 minute Google search says that people are successfully using this device on Linux.
