HDMI output?

Help for Audacity on GNU/Linux.

  • which version of Linux you are using,
  • the exact three-section version number of Audacity from Help menu > About Audacity,
  • whether you installed your distribution's release, PPA version, or compiled Audacity from source code.

Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. If you still have those versions, please upgrade (see https://www.audacityteam.org/download/).
The old forums for those versions are now closed, but you can still read the archives of the 1.2.x and 1.3.x forums.

HDMI output?

Friends: I'm having the same trouble recording and playing through HDMI. I'm using Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS, and Audacity 2.2.2. Here's the screenshot of the imported music played and paused, and the PAVU playback screen. I can't record from my HDMI connection. (I also don't know how to insert the screenshot image, so the link is to a dropbox file.) Thanks for any help.

Well, my image doesn't appear, so I'll need help on how to load that too. Sorry.

If it really is "the same" trouble, then the answer is here: viewtopic.php?p=342906#p342906

I suspect that you have a different problem, so please describe in detail, what you are trying to do, what you are using, what you are doing, and what is happening.
