Run with no gui

Post by socialmediamaster » Fri Aug 31, 2018 6:15 pm

Is it possible to run the program without any gui? Like if i'm running the program on ubuntu server.
That would be really awesome. So you could just input a mic and then record without the gui present.

Then you could also start the program with ssh connection and record from a distance.

Best regards

Audacity is not suitable for running on a server. It is heavily GUI oriented and it is not security hardened for server use.

SoX is a command line audio editor that may be more suitable: http://sox.sourceforge.net/
