Using macbook osx 10.7.5 with Audacity 2.1.2.0. I can’t find any audio from the songs I’ve recorded and exported as mpr. I suspect I haven’t downloaded the program properly. Should I uninstall the program and start over?
Re-installing will not help.
We need more information about your problem. What do you mean “I can’t find any audio from the songs I’ve recorded and exported as mpr”? Do you mean you can’t find the Audacity project, or that you can’t fine the files you exported? Do you mean “MP3” instead of “mpr”?

macbook 0sx 10.7.5 Audacity 2.1.2.0 On some projects named .aup when I open it says: opened improperly, can’t find data file. Other projects open fine and all saved as mp3 also play properly. I have the projects saved in my applications alias. Is that the proper place to save them?
That’s one of the worst places to store your projects and audio files - that’s what the Mac Documents folder is for

The AUP project file and the _data folder must reside in the same folder/directory.
