Connecting this device directly to speakers with audio cable I can listen any cassette contents.
But If I connect the device to a Mac under OS X 10.11.6 and Audacity 2.0.3 with an USB cable and selecting "USB PnP Audio device" under Audacity and System preferences as sound input device, the choice is not accepted :
"Error while opening the sound device
Please check the input device settings and the project sample rate"
Sample rate is 44100.
If I connect the device to the Mac with an audio cable, keeping the USB cable to supply power to the cassette capture, and record under Audacity, there is non audio signal detected, but there is a signal under System preferences
problem with USB Cassette capture

Re: problem with USB Cassette capture
Audacity 2.0.3 is super old.
Audacity 2.1.3 is available here.
http://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/
Apple (upper left) > System Preferences > Sound > Input.
Your system should be visible there and the bouncing sound meters should work when you make sound.
Go > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup.
That should tell you the technical specifications to set Audacity.
Also one quick note. Audacity doesn't adapt well if you change a USB setting or connection. Make sure Audacity is the last to open, or Transport > Rescan...
