If you find another one and it's not the Producer we already know, would you post a note? This is a forum between users, not a help desk. Thanx.

I don't even understand what that meant.

We know the YouTube Producer Sabrina Adkins has been posting damaged sound work. If you discover more damaged work in your travels, please note who the Producer is and post a note here.

I'm going to try and contact her and see if we can resolve the problem.

The forum appears as a paid, corporate Help Desk with dedicated elves digging people out of trouble, sometimes over months. But the program is free and the helpers are all volunteers. The idea is to help out yourself if possible. One terrific way to help is post information if you find any more damaged YouTube clips.

As I said, it's not easy to damage sound like that, and I wouldn't be shocked if one or two Producers were responsible for most of them. I would be further not shocked if one of them told the other how to do it.

Thanks,

Koz

So you have actually encountered Sabrina Adkins before? I guess the reason I'm confused is because there is some billion plus YouTube users, most of them amateurs who would likely not consider themselves "producers." So it seems formulating a list of users with damaged sound would be a drop of water in the ocean, and the odds of encountering that same user again would be very low.

One problem with YouTube is that it's difficult to tell who copied from who. When a YT video is popular, people copy it and claim it for their own channel, then people copy the copies, then people copy the copy of the copies, an search engines tend to favour the most recent (furthest from the original version).

There are HR Puffnstuff videos by sabrina adkins, and others by rochel rusel, both dated as "5 months ago", and both have the "out of phase" problem. My guess is that they both copied from someone else, and it was that someone else that messed up the audio. Now your podcast has copied their damaged copy and so inherited the problem.

There are other easily found versions between 1 and 7 years old that don't have the problem, so clearly the problem is not with the 1969 original.

Yeah that's kind of what I'm getting at, is that there is a near infinite amount of people uploading videos on YouTube that they may or may not have gotten from other sources, so to try and assemble a list of problem users seems futile because there is just too many people out there posting stuff from too many different sources.

Still, now I have two people to contact about the problem. If each of them contacts two....
